Short-Term Chinese Language and Culture Programs
Introduction to the Programs
Zhejiang University offers 4-week long intensive Chinese program every summer vacation. This year it will be held from July 9th to July 27th, 2018. Three weeks long, with 4 class hours every day from Monday to Friday. The program accepts individual application and application must be submitted before May 22nd, 2018.
In addition to the regular short-term summer program, the college also runs short-term programs for groups of international students (15 people or above) all year round. Courses can be specially designed upon request, with language courses in combination with lectures, field trips, industry visits and so on. Individual short-term students are accepted with no time restriction and are to be placed in appropriate classes with long-term students if he/she has studied the Chinese Language for at least 200 hours.

Modules
- Chinese Language Course – 36 class hours (intensive course for elementary and intermediate learners)
- Culture Lectures – 9 lectures on 4 different topics
- Culture Visits – 6 visits around Hangzhou
- Culture Trips – A 3-day excursion out of Hangzhou but inside Zhejiang Province; – A 3-day excursion out of Zhejiang Province
Requirements
Applicants must be above the age of 18, in good physical and psychological conditions. Applicants of the age of 16 to 18 must have guardians who reside inside Zhejiang Province.
