The Master’s in Economics at Wuhan University of Technology is a two/three year postgraduate program taught in English for international students.
About WHUT
Wuhan University of Technology is one of the leading Chinese universities accredited by the Ministry of Education and one of the universities constructed in priority by the “State Project 211” for Chinese higher education institutions. WHUT was merged on May 27th 2000, from the former Wuhan University of Technology (established in 1948), Wuhan Transportation University (established in 1946) and Wuhan Automotive Polytechnic University (established in 1958). About the Program
This master program is targeted to train the master candidates in a variety of economic studies in economic development, industrial organization, international trade, investment, financial innovation, resources and environmental economics, and financial management. As proposed, this program would require the postgraduate students to be able to:
●Well understand the deep theories and ongoing policy issues concerning economics and keep updated along with their advancement;
●Build an independent thinking ability on economic theories and their applications;
●Create strong potentials to communicate with governments, firms, NGOs and team members;
●Write research papers, be capable of conducting seminars and working activities;
●Apply fluent Chinese as a working language in doing business in China, and
●Have the technique to conduct international business management and develop career potentials.

Courses
EPMSE is a two/three-year postgraduate program in which two major sections are placed separately in course study and research training. The completion of this program depends on the credits earned by the students from the below mentioned under the supervisor’s instruction after enrollment and research work. 30 credits are required in this program, among which 20 credits are from major course taking.
Courses: Chinese, Introduction to China, Microeconomics, International Economics, International Marketing, Chinese Business Culture, Macroeconomics, Investment Decision-Making, Quantitative Economics, Industrial organization, Advanced International Business, International Financial Management, Special Topics on Chinese Economy (Lecture Series).
Thesis Research: Thesis Proposal, Thesis Defense.

Tuition Fees
The tuition fees are or RMB27,000 per academic year. The total for the 3 year program is 81,000 RMB.
Accommodation
Single room price is 12,000 RMB per year or 40RMB per day. Twin-bed room costs 7,500 RMB / bed per year or 25RMB per day.
