About the Program

Launched in 2007, the Master of Public Administration in International Development (MID) degree program at Tsinghua University’s School of Public Policy and Management is a two-year MPA program. It is designed to deliver a strong academics and practical foundation for students to become active global citizens and specialists in Chinese development.

About School of Public Policy and Management (SPPM)

The School of Public Policy and Management (SPPM) of Tsinghua University was founded in the year of 2000. As the first graduate school in public administration in China, the mission of the school is to foster a new generation of leadership in Chinese and global public affairs, to generate policy impacts for public benefits, and to pursue academic excellence in public policy and management research. The School’s long-term objective is to become a world-class institution that actively engages in teaching, research, and consulting in global public affairs.

Entry Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Non-native speaker: TOEFL 90/ IELTS 7.0
• Work experience in development fields preferable but not required

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees are RMB60000 per year. The total for the 2 year program is 120,000 RMB.

Accommodation at Tsinghua University

Located in the north of Tsinghua University, Zijing Apartments (紫荆公寓) is the most modernised student dormitory in China and the largest, able to accommodate 22,400 students. Zijing comprises 26 blocks, with 23 buildings ranging from 7 to 15 stories. The total construction area amounts to 350,000 m2 (3,800,000 sq ft). The cost for the apartments are below. New students should apply at the reception desk of Zijin Building 19.
