About the Program

The Tsinghua University Computer Science (CS) Program is ranked among the top in China. With growing international reputation for excellence in education and research, coupled with the increasing demand for CS education from our diversified student body, we offer this master’s program in Advanced Computing.

In this program, we offer a broad and innovative course curriculum focusing on both cutting-edge advances in CS and Chinese practices. This program aims to foster CS professionals who have comprehensive computer skills, excellent academic merits and great global perspectives. We welcome applicants from all over the world who have a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related areas. The program is designed to be completed in two years of full-time study, including the completion of the course study and a master thesis.

About Department of Computer Science and Technology (DCST)

The department of Computer Science and Technology (DCST) of Tsinghua University was founded in 1956. For over fifty years of unremitting efforts, it has developed into a computer science department with strong scientific research and teaching accomplishments.

Entry Requirements

• Applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related areas.
• Non-native English speakers should provide results for English proficiency test. (TOEFL 85 or IELTS 6.5)

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees are RMB39000 per year. The total for the 2 year program is 78,000 RMB.

Accommodation at Tsinghua University

Located in the north of Tsinghua University, Zijing Apartments (紫荆公寓) is the most modernised student dormitory in China and the largest, able to accommodate 22,400 students. Zijing comprises 26 blocks, with 23 buildings ranging from 7 to 15 stories. The total construction area amounts to 350,000 m2 (3,800,000 sq ft). The cost for the apartments are below. New students should apply at the reception desk of Zijin Building 19.
