The coronavirus has impacted people around the world.
In China, there is positive news, thanks to quick action from everyone, and thanks to dedication from front line medical workers.
But the fight is far from over.
When the outbreak first came out, I saw the photos of doctors and nurses on the front line. The medical teams were called up from all over China, to leave their families, and go to help out.
Sadly, the same is happening all over the world.
These doctors and scientists, have been hailed as heroes, and they are definitely our heroes.
Thank you to their selflessness, they are on the front line in the battle against the unknown, at risk to their own lives.
But they continue, day by day, saving lives.
As a medical student, there are also going to be times in your life when people, loved ones, and your community, and country will need you.
And what will you do? In those fast-changing, difficult situations, in front of the patients, it will come down to your hard work and training.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses and scientists who are help us to battle against this disease.
Doctors, nurses and scientists are the heroes of our generation and we definitely need more heroes like them.
