About CEIBS

About the Event
CEIBS welcomes you to join us for this special evening event to discuss about China going global. It will also include a talk on how Latin Americans can learn from China when it comes to business so that they can improve their position in the international business landscape.

Introduction
This event is welcome to CEIBS alumni, business partners and MBA applicants at CEIBS. The event will give all those in attendance a brief overview of China’s progress up to now, and where it will be in a few years to come. There will be 2 speakers in the event. They include:
Dr. Juan Antonio Fernandez, Associate Dean and MBA Programme Director CEIBS
He is the Associate Dean, MBA Program Director and Professor of Management at CEIBS. He graduated from a degree in Psychology from Havard University. He also graduated with an MBA and PhD from IESE Spain. Dr. Fernandez understands a lot about China and he has even co-authored various books about China including:

- China CEO: A Field Guide and China Entrepreneur (2007), John Wiley & Sons
- Chinese SOEs Reform: CEO and Industry Perspective (2007), Routledge

At the event, Dr. Fernandez will be speaking about China’s Business Landscape: Present and Future
Carlo Bouroncle, Product Planning Manager at Scotiabank (Peru)
Scotiabank is the 2nd largest bank in Peru and Carlo Bouroncle is the retail product planning manager at the institution. He has accomplished a lot with the vast knowledge he has acquired both in the university and during his working experience. Among the many things he has accomplished is developing a go-to-market strategy for developing countries for start-up in the renewable energy industry.
Apart from working as a product planning manager, he also works as a part-time at the University of Applied Sciences as a professor of Strategy and Economics.
At the event, Carlo Bouroncle will share his experience in China and Spain while doing his MBA. He will also share his thoughts on Chinese teamwork. His interesting experience about his first time in China as a Latino will also be shared with the audience.
