A lot of students ask how to find a mentor. It’s a great idea. Learning from others who have already achieved what you want to learn is smart. Why learn by yourself the hard way when if you can learn the blueprint from someone who has already been there?
Here is my answer.
What is it you want to learn exactly? What are your goals?
Get specific. If you ask general questions its hard for someone to help you. Time is the most precious resource.
You can just make a list of people and start approaching them.
And first ask them a simple, specific question for their advice first. If it goes well, you can ask more. Take it step by step.
I’m sure theres a lot of people who can be your mentor.
But the first question you should consider is: why should they mentor you?
If they are busy and they have their own successful business, their time is worth a lot.
What can you offer them?
Is there something you can teach them or some way you can help them and their business? You can offer them money, or perhaps work for free.
