Study in a Design-Centered Campus
PolyU Design’s campus and facilities are 100% geared towards student success, growth, and imagination in the design world. From designing furniture and appliances to designing games and toys, PolyU students have access to top-tier resources, technology, materials, and studios to bring their visions into reality.
PolyU Design’s home, the Jockey Club Innovation Tower, was designed by Zaha Hadid, an award-winning international architect. At 78 meters tall and 15000 square meters, the building has a capacity of 1800 students and staff.
Reflecting the creativity, innovation, and boldness of its students, the Tower stands out from the Hong Kong landscape. The building’s exterior calls to mind the natural curves of wind and waves combined with modern techniques like dramatic angles and sleek surfaces. On the inside, the building’s spacious interior has room for classrooms, lecture halls, design studios and labs, and other facilities essential to PolyU students.
PolyU Design has fully equipped modeling workshops that allow students to have conceptual and physical space to investigate and experiment with materials (such as: garment, ceramics, wood, plastic, metal and fine-metal), tools (such as: photography and knitting), processes and ideas.

At PolyU Design, students are able to develop their real-world design skills and share their art, creativity, and unique viewpoints with the world. PolyU even offers subsidies and funds for students and recent graduates to enter international design competitions and events.
