We are pleased to share the news that BLCU has announced the launch of a new Online Children’s Chinese course!
It’s never too early for your child to explore learning Chinese as a second language. With Beijing Language and Culture University’s new course offerings for kids, you can enroll your child to study Chinese with one of China’s best universities for language studies. BLCU’s Chinese for Children and Youth courses are aimed at beginner and intermediate youth aged five to eighteen. These online courses are based on international Mandarin Chinese learning standards and take advantage of BLCU’s experienced professors and resources.
About BLCU
BLCU is one of the most qualified universities in China for teaching Mandarin Chinese. The university specializes in teaching Chinese language and culture, and is even nicknamed the “Mini United Nations” for their diverse student body. Currently there are over seven thousand international students at BLCU, with four thousand learning Chinese. BLCU offers Chinese courses from total beginner levels to HSK 6.
The new Chinese for Children and Youth courses also follow a leveled curriculum developed by BLCU. The program is divided into two tracks. The first, Chinese Language, follows HSK testing standards and is suitable for non-native speakers and total beginners. The second track, Chinese Language and Literature, is great if your child has a solid basis in Mandarin Chinese already. This course series focuses on reading stories and cognitive games.
The Younger You Learn, The Faster and Easier It Is
Learning a language from a young age is extremely beneficial for your child. Studies have shown that kids should begin learning a language before the age of ten to achieve native fluency, making childhood the best time to start the Chinese study journey. The US National Institute of Health even found that bilingual children were more focused and adaptable. Chinese in particular is already established as a major language on the world stage. Within China, Mandarin Chinese is the lingua franca among regional dialects. Globally, China’s growing economic presence is leading to an increasing global demand for fluent Chinese speakers to help countries conduct business and cultural exchanges with China. BLCU’s children’s Chinese course is ideal for families with children who may relocate to China or teenagers who want to learn Chinese before deciding on a high school or university path.
BLCU has been providing group classes for kids for quite some time and is now organising this specialised program.
Aside from their children’s Chinese course, BLCU offers courses for individuals, pairs, and groups. Starting from a minimum of 30 class hours, BLCU offers discounts the more class hours you take.
