As China’s universities quickly grow and expand, the connections between Chinese and international universities are growing deeper and stronger. There are more opportunities than ever for students studying in China to study in and earn degrees from foreign universities!
Many universities also offer paths for you to get a Chinese and a foreign degree at the same time. Earning two degrees at once is called a dual degree. You can read more about them here.
Here are China’s top 14 universities that offer you the chance to both study at Chinese universities and get international degrees from various countries!
Chinese and UK Degrees
Peking University-London School of Economics and Political Science
You can study economics between two of the world’s top universities. Once you successfully complete your studies at both institutions, you will be conferred a Master Degree of Law and Master Degree of Sciences by PKU and LSE respectively. All applicants apply via LSE. This includes applicants from the People’s Republic of China, and areas of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and PKU students.
Programs offered are a double Master’s in International Affairs and a Double Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Government.
Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University
The Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) in Suzhou is a collaboration between China’s Xi’an Jiaotong University and the UK’s University of Liverpool. Graduates from XJTLU will receive a Chinese degree and a University of Liverpool degree. They offer Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs.

UK Degrees
University of Nottingham Ningbo China
The University of Nottingham Ningbo China is a top 20 UK university in the QS World Rankings and the THE World University Rankings. UNNC graduates leave with a University of Nottingham degree that is valued by employers all over the world. The UNNC campus is located in the coastal province of Zhejiang, China.
Sino-British College
The Sino-British College (SBC) is an embedded international university college of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), established as a joint institute by USST and nine north of England universities in the NCUK consortium. NYU Shanghai
NYU Shanghai is China’s first Sino-US research university and the third degree-granting campus of the NYU Global Network. They were founded in 2012 by New York University and East China Normal University with the support of the city of Shanghai and the district of Pudong.
Graduates earn diplomas from Chinese-accredited NYU Shanghai and US-accredited New York University.
Duke Kunshan
Duke Kunshan is a world-class liberal arts university based in Kunshan, China, that offers a range of high-quality, innovative academic programs for students from around the world. It was established in September 2013 as a U.S.-China partnership between Duke University and Wuhan University.
DKU offers diplomas from Chinese-accredited Duke Kunshan and US-accredited Duke University.
Fudan International MBA
The Fudan MIT International MBA offers a two-year dual master’s degree based in Shanghai with close collaboration between Fudan University and MIT, Yale, or even Canada’s York University! You can earn a degree from Fudan University and one of these top three global schools.

Johns Hopkins + Nanjing University
Students study between the USA’s Johns Hopkins and China’s Nanjing University, earning a degree from both. There are four programs offered at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center: Certificate in Chinese and American Studies, Master of Arts in International Studies, Certificate in Chinese and American Studies + Master of Arts in International Relations, Certificate in Chinese and American Studies + Master of Arts in International Affairs.
Tsinghua + Johns Hopkins SAIS
Johns Hopkins SAIS and the Department of International Relations at Tsinghua University, one of China’s top universities, offer a groundbreaking dual-degree program that gives students from around the world an opportunity to study international relations in top schools in the capitals of both countries.
After completion of these requirements, students will be awarded the Master of Arts in International Relations degree from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Master of Law degree and graduation certificate from Tsinghua University.
Chinese and French Degrees
Asia Europe Business School
Shanghai’s Asia Europe Business School offers both Bachelor’s and Master’s business programs. Graduates earn a dual degree from East China Normal University and France’s emlyon business school. Both their Bachelor’s and Master’s programs require students to study internationally in China and France.
PKU + Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs
The dual degree Sciences Po–Peking University is a two-year academic program. Students spend their first year studying at Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA), Sciences Po, where they choose between the 7 specialized masters offered in international affairs. In the second year, students join the School of International Studies (SIS) at Peking University to study a Master of International Relations with an emphasis on security and development issues and a regional focus on China and the Asia-Pacific region.
Upon successful completion of studies at both institutions, students will be conferred a Master degree from Sciences Po and a Master Degree of Law from PKU.
Chinese and Australian Degrees
Tongji University + University of New South Wales
The Architecture Dual Degree program at Tongji University in Shanghai and the University of New South Wales in Australia is a dual degree. Students of this program will study four semesters on each campus, and graduate with a degree from each university. Program graduates are eligible for architect qualification examinations in China, Australia, and other commonwealth countries.
Chinese + Global Degree
Tsinghua-INSEAD EMBA
The Tsinghua – INSEAD Executive MBA (TIEMBA) is a unique partnership between INSEAD, one of the world’s leading business school, and Tsinghua, one of China’s most prestigious universities. The programme takes place across INSEAD’s three campuses in Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Fontainebleau (France), and Tsinghua’s campus in Beijing.
Chinese/Korean/Singaporean Degree
Fudan University IMBA S3 Asia
The tri-university colloquium between Fudan University, Korea University and National University of Singapore was the result of a powerful vision established by the S3 University Alliance (S3 UA) in 2008. With the aim of offering the first world-class pan-Asian MBA, which offers strong research and industry-driven framework, the S3 Asia MBA was born.
Upon completion of the program, students will be awarded two MBA degrees consisting of their ‘home’ degree, plus one of the two host degrees based on their own preference. An S3 Asia MBA program certificate signed by three deans from FDSM, KUBS and NUS Business School will also be awarded.
