About the Program
This program prepares graduates with a strong background in control theory combined with electronic technology, computer technology and detection technology. Students will have expertise in system analysis, design, integration and implementation of varied electrical automatic systems.
Program Outcome
Graduates are qualified to work in areas related with control and automation, such
as process control, manufacturing control, electrical power control, and control within vehicles or aero planes. Future employers could be an industrial enterprise (involved in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering), an engineering consultancy or marketing office, a public administrative body or a research institute. Automation engineers are employed in all of the following sectors: manufacturing, services, and management.
Entry Requirements
· High school graduation or equivalent to a Chinese high school graduate;
· Good command of mathematics
· Efficient English language skills (TOEFL 85 or IELTS 5.5, exempt for English native speakers)
· Under age 30
Application Deadline
The application deadline is July 15, however applications can sometimes still be accepted up to one month later. Students are advised to apply earlier to ensure enough time to process the student visa.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fees are RMB30600 per year. The total for the 4 year program is 122,400 RMB.
Curriculum
Main Courses: Fundamental of electric circuits, Electronics, Computer programming language, Principles of microcomputer and interface, Electrical engineering technique, Electrical measurement technology, Power electronics, Electrical machinery and drives, Fundamentals of control theory, Control system of electrical machinery, Motion control system, Energy and power conversion technique, Intelligent building, Factory electricity supply, Electrical engineering network and communication technology.
Scholarship
BIT offers Freshmen scholarship for the first year student, and Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship to the senior year student.
The scholarship has three rankings: First Prize (100% tuition waiver), Second Prize (50% tuition waiver) and Third Prize (25% tuition waiver). The evaluation is mainly based on the students academic transcript.
Accommodation
The accommodation fee is 1350RMB / Month, which is 45RMB/day/bed. Double Room with bathroom, TV set and air conditioner. Public kitchen on each floor.
