About the Program
The Electronic Science and Technology program prepares graduates with a strong theoretical foundation and a broad range of knowledge. Among the many topic areas in the curriculum are electronic engineering, electromagnetic fields and microwave techniques, micro-electronic technology, and computer communication technology. Students gain theoretical knowledge and design experience, developing skills in systematic analyzing, synthesizing, creative problem-solving, and communicating.
Program Outcome
Graduates can work in a wide range of areas, such as communication engineering, electronic engineering, computer communication, satellite communication, mobile communication, and radio & TV broadcasting. Among the major employers are electronic manufacturing firms, communications companies, public utilities, oil companies, and transportation companies.
Entry Requirements
· High school graduation or equivalent to a Chinese high school graduate;
· Good command of mathematics
· Efficient English language skills (TOEFL 85 or IELTS 5.5, exempt for English native speakers)
· Under age 30
Application Deadline
The application deadline is July 15, however applications can sometimes still be accepted up to one month later. Students are advised to apply earlier to ensure enough time to process the student visa.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fees are RMB30600 per year. The total for the 4 year program is 122,400 RMB.
Curriculum
Main Courses: Fundamentals of circuits analysis, Fundamentals of analog circuits, Signals and systems. Fundamentals of control theory. Digital signal process, Random signal analysis, Electromagnetic field theory, information theory, Computer theory and application, Communication circuits and system, Digital communication theory, Theoretical physics, Semiconductor physics, Hardware description language. Microelectronic process, Microelectronic device, Analog integrated circuits analysis and design, Digital integrated circuits analysis and design, Integrated circuits CAD, MEMS.
Scholarship
BIT offers Freshmen scholarship for the first year student, and Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship to the senior year student.
The scholarship has three rankings: First Prize (100% tuition waiver), Second Prize (50% tuition waiver) and Third Prize (25% tuition waiver). The evaluation is mainly based on the students academic transcript.
Accommodation
The accommodation fee is 1350RMB / Month, which is 45RMB/day/bed. Double Room with bathroom, TV set and air conditioner. Public kitchen on each floor.
