About the Webinar

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the Chinese government has taken a series of measures which obtained success to some extent, and the economic and social order has gradually recovered. However, with the continuous spread of epidemic all over the world, the downside risks of the world economy are intensified and uncertainties are significantly increasing, which will bring a “second test” to Chinese international trade companies gradually recovering from the domestic epidemic. Many companies will face pressing problems such as financing and currency hedging.

Meanwhile, the trade volume between China and the United States in the first quarter was less than 100 billion US dollars, down 19.96% year on year, accounting for only 10% of China’s total trade. The trend of the Sino-US trade war, the future layout of the world supply chain, and potential decoupling risks will bring huge challenges under the impact of the global epidemic.

How does the existing Chinese international trade structure respond to the impact of the epidemic? How can China’s economy maintain positive growth facing the global economic recession? Since the outbreak, the United States and China have faced a series of severe challenges. What is the nature of the relationship between the United States and China? Will the Sino-US trade conflict intensify? The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China invites Ma Hong, a professor of Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, to give a speech on the above issues.
