The outbreak of COVID-19 earlier this year has challenged governments and health authorities across the globe. Most recently, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 as a pandemic, affecting 147 countries and territories around the world.
At the center of it all is China, where the novel coronavirus was first detected. China is a superpower in the global market, constituting more than 65% of world production. While China remarkably battled the coronavirus, the economy saw a decrease in global consumption and spending.
But how is COVID-19 affecting the Chinese economy itself?
Join CKSGB’s (Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business) first-ever English-language webinar on 27th March featuring Professor Li Wei and Chairman Greg Gilligan as they discuss the impact of COVID-19 on businesses and the Chinese economy.
