Introduction to the Program
SBC and Sheffield Hallam University are pleased to offer you the chance to study Business Management entirely in Shanghai. The course is delivered by SBC’s international team of academics and will give you a sound basis in the subjects of Business, Economics, Finance and Marketing amongst other relevant disciplines.
About SBC College Shanghai
The Sino-British College (SBC) is an international university college, jointly established by the University of Shanghai for Science & Technology (USST), and 9 leading British Universities – NCUK Universities. The College offers a number of programs to international students in English. This includes 1-year foundation programs in English, and a large number of mixed programs with some time spent in Shanghai, and the rest at a University in the UK. (2+1) – 2 Years in Shanghai and 2 Years in the UK, or (1+2) 1 year in Shanghai and 2 years in the UK.
About the Program:
BA (Hons) Business Management is a broad subject incorporating the business, economics, finance, and marketing amongst other relevant disciplines. A Business Management degree is suitable if you wish to explore several career paths as it develops a student’s knowledge relevant to a diverse range of sectors.
This degree is awarded by Sheffield Hallam University, one of the U.K.’s most popular universities with over 30,000 students. Undergraduate degrees from Sheffield Hallam are well respected, with 70 percent of business graduates finding employment in a professional or managerial position within 6 months of graduation.
Entry Requirements:
Applicants must normally be 17 years of age by 30th September in the year of entry to SBC Year 1. They must have completed 12 years of school education including completion of year 12 and achieved a satisfactory level of pass in the Year 12 school leaving examinations.The English level needs to be at least IELTS 5.0 in all components. If students don’t have the required English level they can take the foundation English program. If students haven’t taken an IELTS test they can take the SBC entrance test.
Application Deadline:
There is no official application deadline, students can apply up until the start of the program, but are advised to apply earlier as applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and students need to take time to process their student visa.
Learning Outcomes:
Some students proceed to Master studies while others gain employment in all types of sectors and organizations. After graduation, students are extremely well-positioned in the job market given that they hold a highly-regarded and internationally recognized degree from a respected U.K. university, but they also have international experience and language skills that enable them to stand out amongst peers.
