About the School of Electronics and Information Engineering at Beihang University

The school of Electronics and Information Engineering (SEIE) at Beihang University (originally the Department of Electronic Engineering) is one of the earliest departments of aeronautic electronic engineering founded in China, with a 50 year history.

SEIE has more than 10 multidisciplinary research laboratories and centers including a national open laboratory for electronic system and measurement-control technology, a key avionics laboratory for the aviation ministry, a teaching center of experiment and practice, GPS research center, BUAA-Angilent electronic R&D center, Ansoft-BUAA training center and William C.Y.Li communication R&D center.

SEIE has 146 faculty and staff members including 23 professors and 55 associate professors where 22 professors are doctoral supervisors. The school has already cultivated more than 10,000 undergraduates, graduates, doctors and post-doctoral fellows. There are currently 960 undergraduate and 1000 masters and PhD students studying at the school.

SEIE has developed a number of long term academic exchanges, joint laboratories and contracted projects with prestigious universities, research institutes and industries in China and overseas.

Entry Requirements:

Applicants who are 18-60 are eligible, have good scores in high school, and have sufficient English level are welcome to apply. Applicants are required to submit the certificates of 90 or higher in TOEFL, 5.5 or higher in IELTS. All applicants need to pass the English level test at the beginning of the first semester.

The application the application deadline is 30th May. The program starts in September each year.

The tuition fee for the degree program is:
– Total tuition is 120,000 RMB payable 30,000 RMB per year (4 year program)
– Insurance is 2,400 RMB for the full 4 years

Accommodation

There are single dormitories available on campus for 1,300 RMB and shared dormitories for 650 RMB per month.

Visas

After students have been accepted onto the program they will receive an official acceptance letter and visa application form. Students should apply for an X (study) visa from the Chinese embassy in their country. Students should also complete a health certificate. If you have any questions contact us.

To apply complete the application form and pay the application fee here. All applications are processed at the same time and students will receive their result in the month of July (for September start), and December (for February start).
