The Special Mandarin Training Program at ECNU is a one – four months (or more) program for international students.

About the Program
This program, characterized by intensive learning, meets the need of those who want to improve the Chinese proficiency in short time.
The courses enable the students to learn new vocabulary and sentence structures in the morning, to put them into use orally right away in a mini class in the afternoon. This teaching pattern takes instant effect in language learning.
Tasks-oriented and immersive methodologies would be adopted to let the students mater Chinese in genuine situations and fully interactive way throughout in-class & outdoor activities as well as real ommunicative experience.
Entry Requirements
16 years old and above, with valid foreign passport.
The applicants should have some mandarin basis, at least reach the level of HSK 3 or have been learning mandarin for one year.
Curriculum
Levels setting: Intermediate 2 & Advanced 1
A.Mornings’ Course: Intensive Reading, focus on enlarging the vocabulary, grammar;
B.Afternoons’ Course: Spoken Chinese & Language Activities, improve the oral skills through diverse drills.

We arrange free field trips to historical sights every semester and organize rich cultural activities like singing contests, sports matches, and so on.

There are four international student dorms on Zhongshan Rd.
