Understanding how to conduct business in or with China is no longer a luxury, but rather a prerequisite for success in international business.
Beijing, August 30, 2021, Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM) is launching a global executive program to meet this need – Opportunity in Diversity: Decoding the Dynamic Chinese Economy.
The 20-day program will be rolled out both online and offline. It has been designed so participants can take the live-virtual modules for 8 days and then be on-campus in different locations for 12 days. They can choose to take the live-virtual and on-campus modules independently.
The program runs from November 2021 to May 2022, and you can register your interest and apply here.
The live-virtual modules will expand the curriculum to flexibly cover different topics including Macro Economy & the Business Environment, Digitization & Marketing, Finance & Investment, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Due to the global circumstances and the geographical restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the hands-on online format is designed to help participants, anywhere in the world, get the necessary keys to fully understand the Chinese Economy.
The 12-day offline modules have been designed to give the right education in the right place. Participants will learn about China’s state and technology vision in the dynamic city of Beijing, they will discover how to connect the world with China in the universal city of Shanghai, and they will dive deep into the bottom-up entrepreneurial ecosystems in the thriving entrepreneurial city of Shenzhen. Graduates will join a rich network of executives throughout China and be awarded a course study certificate by Tsinghua University.
The program will integrate interactive learning through proactive lectures, insightful case studies, and valuable company visits.
The program tuition fee is RMB 58,000 for the live-virtual modules and RMB 118,000 for the on-campus modules and total of RMB 176,000 for both modules. Participants can take the live-virtual modules and on-campus modules independently or both together.
Applicants should have a strong interest and a rich experience in the Chinese business world. They should be currently living and working in China (or planning to) with a solid academic foundation and at least five years of work experience, including solid experience in managing teams and/or projects.
In order to get an in-depth understanding of Chinese business practices, regulatory frameworks, and consumer expectations, the curriculum has been designed to prepare participants to identify opportunities, expand existing businesses, and overcome challenges in the fast-changing Chinese business world.
At the end of the program, graduates will acquire an expanded skill set that will help them compete advantageously, perform well and collaborate better.
With a mission to advance knowledge and cultivate leaders for China and the world, Tsinghua SEM has always been a pioneer in leading business education in China. It is one of the first business schools to be accredited by AACSB and EQUIS in mainland China. Its Executive Education dates back to 1981, which is not just the origin of executive training programs but, in many respects, the predecessor of today’s MBA and EMBA education in China.
